Capacitive Sensors

Capacitive sensors are very similar to inductive sensors. The main difference is that instead of a coil, a cylindrical plate-shaped electrode is used.
During operation, a capacitive field is created between the electrode and earth, i.e. between the sensor and earth.
If there is no detectable object near the sensor, the field generated is stable.
